After picking you up at your hotel, we will enter downtown Guayaquil and walk through the main streets and avenues of the city.
Our first stop will be the Seminario Park, also called Simon Bolivar Park. In addition to admiring its beautifully ornamented gardens and artificial lagoon, we will discover why this park is popularly known as the park of the iguanas. With Guayaquil's cathedral as a backdrop, we will get a close-up look at Guayaquil's exotic iguanas, which can grow up to a meter long and are one of the city's main tourist attractions.
As we cross the popular Malecon 2000, we will see a variety of museums, gardens, docks and viewpoints. This promenade on the banks of the Guayas River has become the most visited place in Guayaquil.
Next to the Hemiciclo de la Rotonda, where the monument to the liberators of South America stands, we will learn about the history of the famous "Interview of Guayaquil" that took place in 1822 between the Venezuelan Simón Bolívar and the Argentinean José de San Martín.
We will head to the oldest part of the city to explore the colonial neighborhood of Las Peñas. Its colorful wooden houses are true works of art.
