On the last weekend of October, visitors have the chance to take a plunge into the past, with the fantastic Giornate Medievale (Medieval Days) a magical immersion in an atmosphere of knights, noblewomen, jesters, minstrels, artisans, falconers, flag wavers, archers and much more, in which the sounds and flavours of the past will be revived, opening up a glimpse of the history of the Brindisi Montagna fiefdom, starting from the investiture in the period of the feudal fiefdom, archers and much more, in which the sounds and flavours of times gone by will be re-enacted, opening up a glimpse into the history of the fief of Brindisi Montagna, starting with the investiture, in the Angevin era, of Guidone de Foresta as ‘Primus Dominus Brundusii de Montanea et Ansiae’ (1268). Grancia Park and Sensory Experiences

Morning: Grancia Park. Entrance to the Grancia Park. Exploration of the park and its natural and historical attractions.

Afternoon: Royal Podolica Workshop and Guided Tasting. Participation in milk workshops with a focus on Podolica cows and transhumance. Guided tasting of traditional cheeses, including Caciocavallo Podolico della Basilicata, a Slowfood Presidium. Educational activities for children and emotional trails for tourists.

Medieval Days and Departure

Morning: Medieval Days (Last Weekend in October). Participation in the Medieval Days, a historical reconstruction with knights, noblewomen, jesters, minstrels, artisans, falconers, flag wavers, fighters, and archers. Immersion in the sounds and flavours of the past, reliving the history of the Feud of Brindisi Montagna.

Morning (Other Periods): Nature walk. Walk through the nature trails of the Grancia Park. Free time to enjoy the landscape and relax in the picnic area.

Afternoon: Check-out and departure. Free time for shopping for local products and souvenirs.

- Cinespettacolo ‘The Bandit Story’: This spectacular performance is only available during the summer period, every Saturday from 6 July 2024 to 21 September 2024. We invite you to schedule your tour on these dates to witness this extraordinary event.

- Royal Poultry Workshop: Both workshops are bookable every day throughout the year. These activities offer an insight into the agricultural and dairy traditions of Basilicata, regardless of the season.

- Medieval Days: bookable on the last weekend of October.

- We recommend that you plan your visit on these dates to experience the full tour. For bookings outside this period, the tour will be enhanced by other cultural and natural activities in the Grancia Park and the village of Brindisi di Montagna.

- The facilities are equipped with wi-fi.

- Places for activities in the Grancia Park are limited and reservations are compulsory. We recommend booking at least two weeks in advance to guarantee availability.

- It is advisable to bring water, comfortable and practical clothing suitable for the considerably cooler evening temperatures compared to the morning.

- Prams are not allowed.

- In case some activities are not available, the experience will be adapted to the cultural and experiential proposals of the period.
